How we chose
We compared the big cam sites on what matters most in your first months: the size of the audience, how crowded it is, when it's busiest, what privacy tools exist, and whether performer verification is documented. Tip figures are our analysis of tracked public tips for September 28 to October 25, 2026, and traffic is from Similarweb for September 2026. Bailey's comments come from her own 2020 guides, written from years of streaming.
We haven't added payout shares yet. Each site's model share changes, and we only publish a number once we've confirmed it on the site's own pages. Until then, every entry says "Confirming." Rankings never depend on affiliate deals.

Chaturbate
Best overall for beginners: huge audience, simple setup
- Tracked public tips, 4 weeks
- about $33.7 million
- Busiest hours (ET)
- 10pm to 2am
- Monthly visits
- 464.4M (Similarweb, Sep 2026)
- Average visit
- 8m 36s, the longest of the big sites
- Performer verification
- Publishes a 2257 records statement
- Model's cut
- Confirming on Chaturbate's own pages
- Works with Lovense
- Yes, on Lovense's supported list
Chaturbate is the second biggest site by tracked tips and the stickiest of the giants: visitors stay over eight minutes on average. Bailey called it easy to set up, and liked that "you choose exactly what you charge for private shows." New broadcasters get a short "new" label that brings a wave of traffic, so plan your first week around it.
Good
- Very large, mixed audience that stays a long time
- Easy setup and lots of room apps and bots
- Busiest late at night, which suits many schedules
Watch for
- Lots of competition for attention
- Bailey warned that accounts can be suspended for rule breaks, and appeals take time
MyFreeCams
Best community for women starting out
- Tracked public tips, 4 weeks
- about $4.4 million
- Busiest hours (ET)
- 10pm to 2am
- Women's share of tracked tips
- 99.9%
- Monthly visits
- 58.4M (Similarweb, Sep 2026)
- Model's cut
- Confirming on MyFreeCams' own pages
- Works with Lovense
- Yes, on Lovense's supported list
MyFreeCams was Bailey's main site in 2020 and her top recommendation for new models. It has a whole category for new models, and she found that "members spend well." It punches above its traffic: fifth by visits but third by tracked tips among the big sites, a sign of a loyal, tipping community.
Good
- Dedicated new-model category and label
- Loyal members and a close community
- Built-in helper bot for banners and shows
Watch for
- Almost entirely women's rooms, so not for couples, men or trans models
- Bailey noted your ranking score drops on days you don't earn
CamSoda
Best for a smaller crowd and privacy tools
- Tracked public tips, 4 weeks
- about $2.6 million
- Busiest hours (ET)
- 10pm to 2am
- Monthly visits
- 23.6M (Similarweb, Sep 2026)
- Average visit
- 7m 16s
- Model's cut
- Confirming on CamSoda's own pages
- Works with Lovense
- Yes, on Lovense's supported list
CamSoda is far smaller than the giants, which is exactly its appeal for nervous beginners. Bailey wrote that it "has fewer models than the big two, so it's easier to get noticed," and called state blocking her favorite feature. Visitors still stay over seven minutes on average.
Good
- Easier to be noticed with fewer rooms live
- State blocking for privacy, which Bailey relied on
- Easy interface
Watch for
- Much less traffic than Chaturbate or Stripchat
- Bailey found new profiles can wait a while for approval
Stripchat
Best for couples and daytime streamers
- Tracked public tips, 4 weeks
- about $51.4 million
- Busiest hours (ET)
- 9am to 1pm
- Couples' share of tracked tips
- 22.7%, the highest of any big site
- Monthly visits
- 608.1M (Similarweb, Sep 2026)
- Model's cut
- Confirming on Stripchat's own pages
- Works with Lovense
- Yes, on Lovense's supported list
Stripchat is the biggest site by both tracked tips and traffic. For a beginner the draw is timing and niche: its busiest hours are the US morning, so daytime streamers face a big crowd while many rooms are offline, and it's the clear first choice for couples.
Good
- Biggest audience of any cam site we track
- Daytime peak suits US models who stream early
- The strongest couples audience by far
Watch for
- Huge competition
- Shorter average visits than Chaturbate (4m 25s)
- In March 2026 the European Commission made a preliminary finding against it under the EU Digital Services Act over protecting minors
BongaCams
Best for US afternoon streamers
- Tracked public tips, 4 weeks
- about $2.6 million
- Busiest hours (ET)
- 3pm to 7pm
- Monthly visits
- 130.3M (Similarweb, Sep 2026)
- Model's cut
- Confirming on BongaCams' own pages
- Works with Lovense
- Yes, on Lovense's supported list
BongaCams draws a big European audience, so its busiest hours fall in the US afternoon. If you can only stream between school runs or before an evening job, that timing is a real advantage.
Good
- Afternoon peak (Eastern time)
- Large international audience
Watch for
- Short average visits (2m 10s)
- Smaller share of public tips than its traffic suggests
