BaileyBae Cam Index: aggregate snapshots of Chaturbate's live rooms, every 15 minutes, with viewer numbers hourly. Totals only: no names, ages or images are stored. Times are US Eastern.
What the Cam Index measures
Most cam statistics are guesses. The Cam Index is a running record of what's actually live, taken straight from Chaturbate's live room list:
- Every 15 minutes: how many performers are live, split into women, couples, trans performers and men.
- Every hour: a full pass over every live room, adding up viewers and noting which rooms stream in HD, which are new, which are in private shows, which use Lovense, and which languages performers list.
Over time, that builds an hour-by-hour picture of the busiest cam site most people know.
Why it's useful
For viewers: it shows when the most performers are online, so you know when you'll have the most choice.
For performers: "viewers per room" by hour shows when each room gets the most attention, which is a sharper guide to when to stream than total traffic. And the share of viewers in the busiest 10% of rooms shows how much attention concentrates at the top, a good reason to build regulars rather than chase random traffic.
For the long view, with two years of tip data, see our State of Camming 2026 report. For counts on other sites, see who's live now.
How we keep it safe
- Totals only. We never store performers' names, ages, images or room titles.
- Fail closed on child safety. Rooms with youth-coded words are excluded from every number, and anyone listed under 18 is excluded.
- Gentle on the source. We check a few times an hour, not constantly.

Questions people ask
How many cam models are online right now?
The latest snapshot at the top of this page shows how many performers are live on Chaturbate, split into women, couples, trans performers and men. Our live counts tool shows the other big sites too.
When are the most cam models online?
The hour-by-hour chart on this page shows the average number of performers live at each hour, US Eastern time, once we've collected a full day of snapshots.
What is viewers per room?
The total number of viewers divided by the number of live rooms. It's a simple way to see when each room gets the most attention: a high number means more viewers to go around.
Do you store performers' details?
No. We store totals only, like how many rooms are live and how many viewers they have in total. No names, ages, images or room titles are kept, and rooms with youth-coded words are excluded from every number.
