Cam4 Review: How It Works, What It Costs and Is It Safe?

Cam4 is a long-running cam site (since 2007) with free registration; you buy tokens only to tip or for private shows. Charges show on your card as GRANITY ENTERTAINMENT. Its optional Gold membership is cancelled through the payment company, not by deleting your account, so cancel that first.

The quick verdict

Cam4 in 30 seconds

  • What it is: a cam community running since 2007.
  • Free to join: registration costs nothing.
  • How you pay: tokens for tips, gifts and private shows, plus an optional Gold membership.
  • On your card: GRANITY ENTERTAINMENT.
  • Watch for: Gold is cancelled with the payment company, not by deleting your account.

How Cam4 works

Cam4 describes itself as an adult webcam community that's been running since 2007. You can register for free, browse performers and join their rooms. It has live chat, performer profiles, show scheduling, a messenger and a ranking system, and performers can sell their own videos through a "My Shop" feature.

People stay on Cam4 a long time: over seven minutes per visit on average, from about 56 million visits a month (Similarweb, September 2026). That's close to Chaturbate, which usually means rooms that hold people's attention.

What Cam4 costs

Cam4 runs on tokens. You buy them and use them to:

Bigger token packages cost less per token, according to Cam4's help pages. Cam4 also adds a transaction fee to token purchases to cover payment processing; it doesn't publish the amount, so check the total at checkout before you pay. Use our token calculator to work out what a tip really costs from the package you buy.

There's also an optional Gold membership. Cam4's billing help explains how to cancel it through the payment company, which tells you it's a recurring charge, so treat it like a subscription.

What shows up on your card

Cam4's own billing page says charges appear as GRANITY ENTERTAINMENT. It lists the payment companies it uses, including Epoch, SegPay and DialXS, plus Commdoo for pay-by-phone in some European countries.

If you see GRANITY ENTERTAINMENT and don't recognize it, check your email for a Cam4 receipt before you dispute it. See our guide to cam site charges on your card for other sites.

How to cancel Gold and delete your account

These are two separate steps, and the order matters.

  1. Cancel Gold first. Cam4 says Gold is cancelled through whoever billed you: Epoch (epoch.com/find_purchase), SegPay (cs.segpay.com) or DialXS. Look at your card statement or receipt to see which.
  2. Then delete your account, if you want to. Log in, open your avatar menu, go to My Account, then Account Settings, then Account, and choose Delete Account.

Cam4 is clear that deleting your account does not cancel Gold, and that deleting can't be undone: you'd need a new email address to come back.

Cam4 on your phone

There's no Cam4 app. Its help pages say there's nothing to download or install; you watch in your phone's web browser. That's normal: Apple and Google don't allow porn apps in their stores. See cam sites on your phone for why, and how to stay safe.

Is Cam4 safe?

Here's what Cam4's own pages say:

What we couldn't confirm: the company named in its terms, its refund policy, and whether it checks viewers' ages, because Cam4's main site blocks the tools we use to check pages. Its help center was readable, and everything above comes from there.

If you ever see anyone who might be under 18, leave, report it to Cam4 and to NCMEC's CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org.

How popular is Cam4? Search interest over five years
20222023202420252026

Searches for Cam4 in the US over the last year are down 44% on five years ago, and interest peaked in Oct 2021. Right now it gets about 246,000 Google searches a month in the US.

Google search interest in the United States (Google Trends), weekly, averaged by month. 100 is the highest point in the chart; it shows how interest changed, not the number of searches. Checked October 28, 2026.

Like almost every cam site, Cam4's search interest has drifted down since its late-2021 peak. Stripchat is the only big cam site whose searches are climbing. It's a sign of how much attention has concentrated on the biggest sites, not a verdict on Cam4's rooms.

Cam4 vs Chaturbate

Cam4 is often compared with Chaturbate, and they have a lot in common: free registration, tip-based rooms and long visits. Chaturbate is much bigger, with about 464 million visits a month against Cam4's 56 million (Similarweb, September 2026). Read the full Cam4 vs Chaturbate comparison.

Our verdict

Cam4 is a real, long-running site with free registration, clear billing and a strict line on age. Its biggest gotcha is Gold: cancel it with the payment company before you delete anything. If you want the biggest selection, Chaturbate or Stripchat will give you more rooms; if you like a site where people settle in, Cam4 is worth a try.
