The short answer
Free tokens in 30 seconds
- Generators don't work. No website can add tokens to your account.
- They're scams after your login, card or personal details.
- Real offers come from the site itself, shown on its own pages.
- You don't need tokens to watch. Public rooms are free.
Why token generators can't work
Your token balance isn't stored on your phone or in your browser. It lives on the cam site's own servers, and only the site can change it, when you buy tokens. So any website, app, survey or "hack" promising to add free tokens is lying. Security researchers say the same about game currency generators: no page or survey can add currency to an account held on someone else's servers.
What the scams look like
Searches for free tokens are full of these:
- "Generators" that ask for your username and then your password or card "to verify".
- Surveys that promise tokens if you enter your details, then ask for a card to "pay a small fee".
- Apps and browser extensions claiming to unlock tokens or paid shows.
- Shared documents and pages on otherwise trusted sites, like online document or design tools, with "how to get free tokens" instructions that lead to a scam.
The FTC warns that offers that seem too good to be true, like a free item, are a classic sign of phishing, and that real prizes don't ask you to pay. A "free token" offer that wants your card is never free.
What real offers look like
Some cam sites do run their own promotions, but you'll see them on the site itself, not on a random page or video. For example, Cams.com advertises up to 250 free tokens for new members on its own homepage.
If an offer isn't on the cam site's own pages, assume it's fake.
If you've already entered your details
- Change your password on the cam site, and anywhere else you used the same password.
- Turn on two-factor login if the site offers it.
- If you entered card details, call your bank and cancel the card.
- Check your statement for charges you don't recognize. See what's this charge on my card?.
- Report it to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov if you're in the US.
You don't need tokens to watch
The good news: watching cams is free on the big sites. Public rooms on Chaturbate, Stripchat, MyFreeCams, CamSoda and BongaCams cost nothing to watch. Tokens are only for tipping or paid shows. See our free cam sites.
When you do want to buy tokens, buy them only from the site, and use our token calculator to see what a tip really costs.
If you ever see anyone who might be under 18, leave, report it to the site and to NCMEC's CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org.

Questions people ask
How do I get free tokens on Chaturbate?
You can't generate them. The only safe way to get tokens is to buy them from the site itself. Watching public rooms is free, so you don't need tokens at all unless you want to tip or pay for a show.
Do free token generators work?
No. Your token balance is stored on the site's servers, and no outside website, app or survey can change it. Generators are scams designed to steal your login or card details.
Do any cam sites give free tokens?
Some sites run their own sign-up offers, shown on the site itself. Cams.com, for example, advertises up to 250 free tokens for new members on its own homepage.
I entered my details on a free tokens site. What now?
Change your password on the cam site and anywhere you reused it, turn on two-factor login if offered, and if you entered card details, contact your bank to cancel the card.
Can I watch cam sites free without tokens?
Yes. Public rooms on Chaturbate, Stripchat, MyFreeCams, CamSoda and BongaCams are free to watch. Tokens are only for tipping and paid shows.
